  13.     One thing no one has seemed to touch on is how string diameter
  14. relates to distortion.  Personally, I play hard rock, and while I like
  15. screaming distortion, I only use 9's.  Anyway, to make it short:

  17.     When you move from 9's to 10's you are increasing the diameter
  18. by 10%.  Therefore you increase tone/distortion by 10% also!
  19. Of course there is always a gain knob....
