- When I was doing this sort of thing, I had many differnt
- types of effects pedals (I think this was much more fun
- to experiment with than the canned synth...) But the number
- of them made it difficult to pick one chain, so I built a
- patch bay so I could change the ordering for different
- effects. You do get a significant difference in, for example:
-
- Distortion -> Wah-Wah
-
- or
-
- Wah-Wah -> Distortion
-
- Neither is better (though I used the former more often)
- They are just different..
-
- I have found the most pre-dominate effect should be last in chain..
-
- In the above example, the first will have a much greater Wah-Wah sopund
- the second will sound sort-a like a phase shift as opposed to a Wah-Wah.
-
- I'm pre-Effects Loops, so I can't speak of those..
