- Lately I've been getting into listening to Robert Fripp and one
- thing I can't figure out is how he achieves such supernatural
- sustain and feedback control. Yes, I know he plays a vintage Les
- Paul, but the sustain is long even for a Les Paul. Someone from
- rec.music.synth pointed out that Fripp uses a hexaphonic pickup.
- I even read somewhere that he installed a synth in his Les Paul!
-
- If anyone can clue me in as to what special equipment Fripp uses, I
- would be grateful.
-
- Cheers,
- Paolo
