- Well, that one didn't work out. There wasn't enough arguments and emotional
- drama. A few years later, and for some unknown reason, alt.streetfighter2
- (now known as alt.sf2) was born. It opened the doors for streetfighters from
- around the world to come together and have great flame war competitions to
- see who was best. Occassionally, offers of fighting challenges are given.
- Given that many people were from around many parts of the world, and more
- importantly, few had the money to travel to accept the challenges. So,
- in time they have become only ceremonial challenges. There were a few,
- rare instances where the challenger just happened to live by some other
- alt.sf2'ers and these challenges were accepted, but these are the exception
- and not the rule.
-
- Also on a side note, there appears to be only one female alt.sf2'er
- (Darlene) just like there's only one female in the game. Just a wierd
- observation that came to me and I thought that I'd waste bandwidth to tell
- you.
