- I just want to know how much $$$ have you spent so far? I know I`ve spent
- a ridiculous amount over the years on this game, but I'm pretty good at it.
- If you want to get good, dont spend $300 in quarters; spent it on a
- Super Nintendo. You can practice all day for "free" whenever you want.
- When you feel that you gotten good enough, then go back to the arcade
- (where the competition is). I'm just speculating, but you may be one of
- those players who attack early. (e.g., those Blanka players who jump and push
- fierce too early and then wonder how come they didn't hit their opponent
- because Blanka's arms are between his legs). Sounds like you suck and you
- won't get any better because you're getting beat too early for you to learn
- anything from your quarter. If you don't want to spend the $$$ on a Super
- Nintendo, then I suggest that you play on SF2 classic since it is much easier
- to beat the computer on that machine than the SF2CE.

- I see that you're tired of being a spectator, but that is where you learn the
- most! Watch. Not just the fight overall, but see what moves they're using
- at what certain situations. I find myself improving by watching others. (That
- probably explains why there are a growing number of good Dhalsims on CE over
- here. I wish they'll quit watching me play!) Good thing that you know all the
- secret moves; I know some people who have spent about $500 and still can't
- throw a sonic boom to save their lives. You have the concepts, now go watch
- and see when to execute the moves. If you don't want to do that, learn from
- the drubbings you receive when the computer wails on you. Just by having the
- computer beat you up, you can learn when to do a move and when not to, also.
- So next time, you won't do that certain stupid move at that certain situation.
- One other thing, the most important concept in SF2 by far is DEFENSE. That's
- why so many new-comers lose, because they see all the attack buttons, glue
- their fingers on the fierce and roundhouse buttons and keep pushing them
- non-stop. You have to know WHEN to attack and not just what to attack with.
-
- I suggest getting a Super Nintendo even though I've played it only 5 times.
- It'll be an "investment" for the goal in May.
