- The closest I came was to say that I simply adore her. cjl provided the
- imaginative leap from "adore" to "marital status". That's exactly why I
- thought it was funny to ask where it came from. It was clearly a Freudian
- slip he experienced while seeing red. I hope this message reaches him
- before my articles have timed out on his system, so he may look back and
- verify this for himself.

- He's got a good point here. The same old jokes run on and on, that's the
- nature of the group. cjl doesn't deserve to be singled out, except that he
- seems to post slightly more of them than the others.

-
- He's right about this. This is why he's not in my kill file. I've never
- said he's a worthless a.f.u'er, but only that I rarely appreciate his
- humor. I've also bothered to recount the obvious -- that this is nothing
- more than one man's reaction and that humor is personal thing. Posts of his
- which aren't quips, such as his current contributions to the "CDs cheaper
- to make than cassettes" thread, reveal expertise and articulation.
-
- : By definition, AFU *is* its own .d group.
-
- Where in the FAQ does it say that, or has he waved his hand to "make it
- so"? This thread is very "meta", and lacks OBUL entries.
