- Ive heard if said that the reason for doing three syncs like that is
- due to the state of the Unix filesystem. In that its not updated
- when you think it is (buffers and what have you), and that the extra
- syncs ensure that your buffers were flushed correctly.

- I use the above to shutdown my Altos 68000, which doesnt have a
- shutdown command, per se. I simply do three syncs, and kill power.
- But also, this is a reflection on my compulsive obsessive personality :-)
