  17. I seem to recall something from about 20 to 25 years ago about a Frenchman 
  18. who built a gigantic whistle that was supposed to produce a frequency (plus 
  19. overtones) at around 7Hz, and when it was switched on the operator died and 
  20. the whistle disintegrated.  It was probably in one of those silly Lyall 
  21. Watson books though.
