  27. Yeah, right.  From now on, when I buy a unix system, I'll leave out all the
  28. utilities, because they're not part of "unix".  Great, now I've something 
  29. slightly less useful than my pocket calculator.  A unix system is the sum of
  30. its parts -- less parts is less unix.  Quibbling over it doesn't solve
  31. anything.

  42. understand unix.

  44. However, I do, and I'm perfectly aware of all you've so kindly (and
  45. redundantly) pointed out.  It doesn't alter the fact that a part of a
  46. standard "unix"* distribution does something sufficiently absurd that I
  47. felt it worth pointing out as an object of deserved ridicule.

  50. absurdity as a figure of fun?  <sigh>
