- Heck, that's nothing. I knew this girl who got a new
- bike, fastened it to a street light, and when she returned,
- the street light had been knocked down and the bike was gone.
- Also, everything has to be securely fastened. Either wheel will be stolen,
- the bike seat, the bike lock, etc.
-
- Even some of the students here are thieves. During the um,
- scavenger hunt sponsored by some student organization or whatever,
- students stole just about everything; signs off of buses,
- road signs from Pennsylvania, farm equipment, military equipment, etc.
-
- I remember me and about six other guys dragging a 35 foot yacht behind us
- down a Hyde Park Street(lit. manpower) for the stupid event, only to
- find some people got points for submitting a toy boat with 35 little
- foot prints. Of course, our house, Broadview, had won the last two hunts
- by a wide margin, so the judging committee was pretty strict on our
- submissions at the time. We ended up losing to a massive coalition
- of some group called the 'Model UN' or something.
