  12. My two cents (ok, so I'm bored too...hey, our finals aren't for
  13. another month. :-):

  15. It seems to me that, in general, picking on someone behind his back is
  16. a pretty lame thing to do.  If it's done among friends, that's one
  17. thing -- I confess to doing that sometimes myself.  But I wouldn't
  18. post stuff to a worldwide newsgroup without at _least_ deleting names
  19. and other personal details.  Those posts really shouldn't have been
  20. made to alt.folklore.college in the first place.  It's not that it's a
  21. violation of netiquette, or clearly racist, or anything like that --
  22. it's just _rude_.

  24. I know how I'd feel if I found out that people were posting stuff like
  25. that about me to a newsgroup like this.  Nobody's perfect -- I know I
  26. have a few personality defects, but I manage to avoid looking like an
  27. idiot all the time.  Some people maybe aren't so good at it, but that
  28. doesn't mean they deserve to have their personal lives posted like
  29. this all over the world.
