- My two cents (ok, so I'm bored too...hey, our finals aren't for
- another month. :-):
-
- It seems to me that, in general, picking on someone behind his back is
- a pretty lame thing to do. If it's done among friends, that's one
- thing -- I confess to doing that sometimes myself. But I wouldn't
- post stuff to a worldwide newsgroup without at _least_ deleting names
- and other personal details. Those posts really shouldn't have been
- made to alt.folklore.college in the first place. It's not that it's a
- violation of netiquette, or clearly racist, or anything like that --
- it's just _rude_.
-
- I know how I'd feel if I found out that people were posting stuff like
- that about me to a newsgroup like this. Nobody's perfect -- I know I
- have a few personality defects, but I manage to avoid looking like an
- idiot all the time. Some people maybe aren't so good at it, but that
- doesn't mean they deserve to have their personal lives posted like
- this all over the world.
-
- I'm not accusing Rose-Hulman students of being racist. I am accusing
- them of being jerks.
