- And the author STILL hasn't gotten a clue!
-
- But don't feel too bad about falling for this apparent bait, Nick.
- You see, Mr. Oke is what's known as a Type III .sig offender. Type I's ,
- after being 'lorded, simply change or delete their sig without comment.
- Type II's rabidly defend their .sigs for a week or two (to protect their
- honor) and change them after the fuss has died down. Type III's will
- continue to use their malformed .sig creations until they become so
- tiresome that no one bothers with them any more (e.g. Norman Sippell
- ASCII Stimpy fame.) Worse yet, some continue to defend their text abortions
- as if they're something to be proud of. Many theories have been advanced
- to attempt to explain why these misguided user persist in looking foolish,
- but none have been able to give a satisfactory explanation. Some say that
- the ASCII bandits persist out of a misguided sense of pride in their
- creations, while others attribute it to sheer brute stupidity. Personally,
- I think it's a combination of the two.
-
- [I'd better leave the inner-circle .sig off of this one...]
