-
- I would ask Mr. Chaney how many "wars" he has served in? A lot of women
- honor war veterans, and they have never served. There is a difference
- between refusing to defend your country and refusing to serve your country
- by defending some other country.

-
- Since you are/were a soldier I would think you'd know the difference. I
- would think you'd understand demonstrating against some old man in his
- ivory tower determining what "acceptable losses" should be in order to
- secure some hill somewhere.
-
- > What will he do to draft dodgers if there is a war during his

-
- First, the draft is debatably un-Constitutional. Secondly, the Vietnam
- "War" was never officially declared a war. It was known as a police
- action officially. Thirdly, many people (myself included) would fight to
- defend this country. This country hasn't been threatened in my lifetime
- (30+ years), actually since Pearl Harbor. I wouldn't want to die
- defending my *own* country, let alone some other country.

-
- Eat dirt. Who are you to decide who deserves freedoms and who doesn't?
- "Serving your country" does not equal "defending your country".
-
- > Clinton is a poor example of an American and has no bussiness being the

-
- Clinton at least had the conviction to stand up for what he believed in.
- I applaud the effort of the men and women who are in our military by
- choice. I also applaud those people (Clinton among them) who, by sticking
- to their convictions, were able to get the war stopped. This country was
- founded on revolution, bucking the system, questioning authority. Maybe
- you should reread the Constitution to understand that we have a right and
- an obligation to object to our government actions if we find them wrong
- and to over-throw it if need be to retain our freedoms.
-

-
- Mandatory enslavement is not exactly what the USofA stands for. Why fight
- for freedoms that you are so willing to give up? You really like
- fighting for the "right" to be enslaved by your government? Give me a
- break.
