- Ah, yes. A kindler gentler, nore liberal nation. That is what got Bush elected
- in 1988? Get real. His number one tactic has always been to portray his
- opponents as Liberals. (There's that "L" word again.) If Bush had been a real
- conservative, and fought the liberals like Reagan did, he would've won a
- second term. Portraying your opponents as liberal, when you yourself are one,
- did not wash with the american public. So, they elected a real liberal. More
- people would have preferred a real conservative, however none ran for president
- in 1992, aside from the primaries.
