Given that TCOM means "The Colour of Magic" (BTW: is that "The Color of Magic" on the otherside of the pond?). S MUST mean "Sourcery", just as R must mean "Reaperman".
The answer to the question is via a rather expensive (but well worth reading) book called "Eric" (which should incidentally be abbreviated in the system to E, presumably related to the "Recreational Substance" in common use hereabouts?).
