  17. Give the man a break.  I admit that the vast majority of his books are a
  18. chore at best, but he's done a lot for promoting the genre from a "kid's"
  19. type of fairy tale story to some actual literature.  I can't stomach any
  20. of his stuff, except The Hobbit, which was a milestone in many ways.  Let
  21. us have a little respect for the dead.
