  34. I think LOTR is the sort of thing that you either love or hate.  Try reading
  35. some essays on it some time, Ursula Le Guins for instance, to get other
  36. perspectives on it.

  38. Anyway,  how about an alt.fan.tolkien?  There is no real newsgroup (just one
  39. mailing list) for the discussion of these subjects, which is imho a pitty.
