- There was sort of a poetic justice about it. AIVAS had completed his
- programming, ridding Pern of thread. Robinton had also completed his course
- in life, bringing Pern into a new age. Both were old, and had held out
- longer than would normally be considered of either of them. They were
- kindred spirits who travelled the same path to the same end.
