- This falls in the realm of projective speculation.

- Now that the Pernese(?) have access to the data stored in Aivas, the
- technological and medical levels should increase dramatically, even if
- the distribution of knowledge is limited and heavy metals are rare.
- There would also probably be increases in agriculture production because
- the need to protect fields from thread no longer poses a limit on the size
- of a farming hold.

- Now, based on our own history, the increase in industrial and medical
- technologies and the improvement of farming methods allowed the population of
- Earth to more than quadruple in the short space of 100 years. Anybody have
- any ideas on what Pern would look like after 200 years?
