- Ann was at the Westcon 45 last summer, and took part in a discussion about
- killing of characters. She explained why she had Robintion die. During a
- good portion of the discusion she was crying herself. She said that as a
- writer, she also became attached to Robinton, who was like one of the
- family. At about the time she was writing AtWoP, her own brother died, and
- in writing Robinton death scene, was able to releive some of the pain of
- her brother's death.

- But as a P.S., I think the the method of having Robinton go out with
- Avais was the only possible way for him to go. It was dignified and
- peaceful.
