  25. Well, *I* heard that revolving doors were supposed to keep wind from
  26. whipping up the elevator shafts in tall buildings.  The wind at the top
  27. of a skyscraper causes the pressure to be significantly less than at the
  28. bottom.  So, a revolving door is never "open" to let tons of air flow
  29. into the building, and up to the top (which would make the stairways a 
  30. *great* place for indoor kite flying (:  ).

  32. I don't doubt that revolving doors are often installed to keep in the 
  33. conditioned air.  But this would be an afterthought, rather than the
  34. purpose of their design.

  36. I hear that some nudist skyscrapers have special "penis sweeps" which
  37. keep vital portions of one's anatomy from being caught in doors or
  38. drawers.  8-)    How big is the tallest building at Berkeley?
