  23. It wouldn't have surprised me if they turned Felix into something like Felicity
  24. Leiter (the way most of the Moore films were going except for the last three in
  25. my opinion, which I thought were pretty good, FYEO being the best of the Moore
  26. films I think). I think John Gardner managed to something to that effect in
  27. FOR SPECIAL SERVICES - the Leiter in the book is Felix's daughter. Now, assume
  28. that Felix and Bond are in their late 40s (they only aged about two or three
  29. years from GOLDEN GUN to LICENSE RENEWED despite the twenty year time span in
  30. the rest of the world). Now, I'm only 18 years old, but my father is in his
  31. late forties as well. How is it that Cedar managed to finish high school and
  32. college and then go through CIA training and be that young (she would have to
  33. be in her early 20s unless she was a protoge, but still how did she manage
  34. that without Daddy Leiter finding out?). Or else, she's in her 30s and Bond
  35. and Leiter are in their 50s and then what the hell are they doing out in the
  36. field? 005 was in his 50s and they retired him to Head of some station near
  37. Greece (besides the fact that 005 was going blind).

  39. But then Gardner is too inconsistent. Making LICENSE TO KILL part of the novel
  40. series was also stupid. You'd think that if Leiter was remarrying that Cedar
  41. would have come back, and anyway no one mentions why he had to remarry in the
  42. first place. And then he loses both his fake limbs? Major coincidence. Anyone
  43. read DEATH IS FOREVER yet? I'm still putting it off. I thought with SCORPIUS
  44. he would finally get an idea of how to write a Bond novel his way without
  45. being a Fleming clone, because I really liked that book, but apparently it was
  46. a fluke.
