- The subject of Garion willing himself dead when C'nedra dies raises a few quest
- ions. He wont necessarily do this as Belgarath didnt when he thought that Poled
- ra had died did he. Questions - If the gods allowed the marriage of Durnik and
- Pol by allowing Durnik to become a sorceror its possible that the same thing ha
- s happened to C'nedra although she hasn't realised it yet ( remember the marria
- ge between a sorceror and someone else must be a marriage of equals. Althoug C'
- nedra is more than equal than Garion in most things it is in sorcery that the s
- tipulation seems to apply most. It is altogether possible that things are not y
- et over. If Eddings has tried to develop a philosophical approach to the genre
- so the maxim that evil cannot be completely extinguished may yet come into play
- with a return to Garion et al, so perhaps a development of C'nedras sorcerous
- ability could be done.
