- You might be forgetting that Belgarath is THE most powerful sorcerer in the
- world that ever was, since he is also the first disciple of Aldur and "The
- Eternal Man" and other such gaudy titles and mentioned in many prophecies.
- Also, he was enraged to the point of blind fury (if you will remember, at
- first, the fight was only physical because rage overcame him) and when
- controlled, this emotion can make anyone (even in the real world)
- very powerful.

- Annother though: Zedar was depressed since he did something he didn't want to
- do, so he put up less of a fight. Maybe he was guilty and though he deserved
- to be killed. (he didn't know what his punishment would be, however.)
