  19. Well Dan did spend some time in Arizona as a youngster. But the only
  20. relationship between the two that I know of is that Goldwater considered
  21. Quayle to be a terminal lightweight in the Senate, and his reaction
  22. to learning that Bush had chosen Dan as his running mate in 1988 (as
  23. he related it in a PBS interview) was on the order of "He picked WHO???"
