- BZZZZTTT!!! Sorry, try again. Just because NPR doesn't parrot the
- conservative theme song of the week is no reason to call them liberals.
-
- > It would not be at all difficult for them to

- >viewpoint.
-
- Except that they *didn't*. Read (tm) what Elizabeth wrote. They selected
- *groups* of referees around the country, not just selected referees.
-
- > I am not suggesting that V.P. Dan Quayle won. What I am suggesting

-
- For the general public, yes. However, had you read (tm) what Elizabeth
- wrote, you would have seen that these referees judge debates at the college
- level, where there are specific scoring guidelines to determine who made
- more factual arguements which were not refuted by the opposing side.
-
- > Liberals will agree with what Gov. Al Gore said,
- >while conservatives will agree with what V.P. Dan Quayle said. After all, who
- >won is only an opinion, and thus can be different for each person.
-
- Which is why NPR asked *groups* of people who have practice judging debates
- impartially for their scoring of the debate.
