  29. Okay, I'll play the game (this oughta be both fun and painful):

  31. 1987 SCV (the most beautiful show in the history of DCI in my opinion,
  32.       if for no other reason than the opener).  The Cadets' show
  33.       was pretty damned incredible, but I have to go with my
  34.       personal favorite on this one.
  35. 1988 BD  (I don't really care about this year, though)
  36. 1989 SCV (the correct corps won; I've talked about this over and over
  37.       so I won't endlessly repeat myself here)
  38. 1990 no opinion, but I can't believe the Cadets won with a "Best of
  39.      the Cadets" show.  The idea of the (modern) Cadets doing a "Best
  40.      of" show seems antithetical to the spirit of the corps to me.  I
  41.      lost a lot of respect for the corps because of this show.  I'll
  42.      get over it, I'm sure.
  43. 1991 Cavvies?  Star?  Star's show bored me to death, but technically
  44.      it was pretty amazing.  On the other hand, I only saw it on the
  45.      broadcast.  It's hard to get excited about a corps whose idea of
  46.      dynamics never rises about mezzopiano.  I mean,
  47.      Higher-Faster-Louder isn't everything, but neither is
  48.      Faster-Faster-Faster-At-The-Expense-Of-Any-Reasonable-Volume-Of-Sound.
  49. 1992 Cavaliers.  My favorite shows were Cavvies, BD,
  50.      Madison, and the Cadets.  Star, in my mind, had no real shot
  51.      (nice show, though).
