  25.  Well, too late now, but methadone therapy was intended to replace heroin
  26. because of several key aspects in methadone's pharmacology: it lasts for
  27. ca 24 hrs., it doesn't give a "rush" like heroin, but more of a kind of
  28. "glow", and methadone withdrawal is far less unpleasant than heroin
  29. withdrawal. That's it in a nutshell. Methadone was invented by Germans
  30. around WWII I htink...
