  25. Is it interfering with his personal relationships?
  26. Is it interfering with any other aspect of his life?
  27. Does he wish he could quit?

  29. The last one is probably the most important one.  If he feels that he needs
  30. to quit, because for some reason its fucking up his life, but at the same
  31. time there is something driving him to take it -- thats abuse.  The only
  32. person that can answer that question really adequately is the user himself.
  33. (of course he may not consciously know the answer...)
