  31.   Some people probably shouldn't take LSD, because it affects them badly.
  32. It sounds like this guy was sensible enough to figure that out.  Some 
  33. people shouldn't take certain other drugs either; I'm assuming since he uses
  34. the term "addict" and "various substances" that he was doing other stuff 
  35. and having a hard time controlling his behavior.  I personally think it's
  36. unfortunate that he needs to immediately turn to religion; probably that's
  37. a sign that there are other things going way wrong in his life that were
  38. predisposing him to turn to heavy drug use in the first place. 
  39.   I strongly recommend therapy for anyone who has got the guts to face the
  40. idea that they may not be perfect the way they are.  It's very unfortunate
  41. that the idea of going into any kind of therapy or counseling has such a
  42. stigma attached to it in our society.
  43.   It is also unfortunate that he seems to think that everyone will have the
  44. same kind of experience he did.  However, this seems to be a common human
  45. delusion, equally prevalent among the "Drugs are hell, I know" folks and
  46. the "Acid makes everyone happy and peaceful, just like me" folks.
