- I think a better split would be something like
-
- alt.drugs.pharm(acology)(pharmacology)
- alt.drugs.use (personal experience, social issues etc.)
- alt.drugs.misc (it seems to be a habit to form .misc in splits)
- alt.drugs.culture (drug references in media, music, sixties, etc.)
- alt.drugs.international (most traffic seems to be US-only, this would
- have news with global interest - sometimes
- at least I am bored with the US-only view
- and could take a break while still keeping in
- touch with stuff of international newsworthiness)
-
- This from earlier discussions of the split. Alt.drugs.pharmacology
- and use are Lamont's ideas. Perhaps just use/pharm, don't known
- if culture/international would work.
-
- The split of alt.drugs seems to pop up periodically, but the consensus
- seems to be that it isn't such a good idea. I could imagine the new
- groups would have worse connectivity - nowadays many sites seem to
- take less new alt groups as before. In principle I think the split
- would be welcome, though.
