- Recently on alt.drugs in article <1992Nov17.112103.4021@wkuvx1.bitnet>
- jagged@wkuvx1.bitnet proposed a group seperate from alt.drugs devoted
- to LSD.
-
- Considering a healthy portion of alt.drugs is now currently devoted to
- the discussion of LSD, and often times debates arise between proponents of
- so-called "consciousness-expanding" drugs likes LSD and proponents of
- "hard drugs" such as cocaine or heroin, it seems to me logical that a
- group specifically devoted to LSD would save a lot of time and a lot
- of bandwidth for a lot of people. Much of the conversation
- surrounding LSD revolves around familiar "newbie" questions, such as:
- the efects of vitamin C and LSD, flashbacks - reality or theory, urban
- legends, etc. If there were a seperate group for LSD, a FAQ could
- easily be created to supplement the familiar alt.drugs LSD faq
- available at sites like ftp.u.washington.edu to answer these
- questions.
-
- If this group were created, I think it only appropriate that it stay
- as partf of alt.drugs (ie: alt.drugs.lsd), as many sites censor
- alt.drugs, and of course, lsd fits nicely as a drug. If someone is
- already censoring alt.drugs there is no reason a group revolving
- around lsd should not be censored at the same site, thus it should
- remain within the hierarchy.
-
- This is not really a formal proposal hence the "RFD?" in the subject,
- and I am not a net.expert like many readers of alt.drugs, thus I don't
- feel I should be the one to officially make the proposal (I also don't
- know how to newgroup, so....)
-
- At any rate, IMHO, it is an excellent idea that the lsd discussions be
- seperated from alt.drugs into a seperate group, and I for one believe
- the idea is worth consideration, so, please consider it!
