  12. I am interested in an answering machine that will call my
  13. pager/beeper.

  15. I already have some good answering machines (Panasonic KX-T1470).

  17. Originally I posted here a request for information on a device that
  18. would work with my existing machines to call my pager.

  20. Here in summary is the problem with the external devices:
  21. They tend to be more expensive then a new answering machine. Also
  22. they rely on a "TIME" factor to guess whether a message has been left
  23. or not.

  25. If I programed the device to call me only if the caller stayed on the
  26. line 30 seconds and the caller used the asterisk to stop the OGM
  27. message and left me a message without using up 30 seconds of time I
  28. would not be beeped.

  30. I also tried this program from a BBS:

  34. This program doesn't care whether or not a message was left. It will
  35. dial your beeper anytime your phone got a ring.

  37. BEEPME30 can be set to page you as soon as someone turns on your
  38. computer or accesses a predetermined directory so it would be useful
  39. to some in specialized applications. It can also be used to page at
  40. preset dates and times.

  42. Anyhow I would like recommendations on answering machines that will
  43. call my pager ONLY if a message is left.
