- Most people in this group probably have heard and know
- a little bit about the BBC TV program DR WHO. I was
- quite disapointed that the BBC in keeping with its history
- of killing off all the good shows, decided to cancel DR WHO
- in its 30somethingth season. Quite sometime after accepting
- the fact that I will now see no new Dr Who shows, I heard
- of some new Dr Who books coming out, that are completely new,
- and have never been TV shows. A few weeks ago, I came across
- one called 'Love and War', silly title, but I decided to give
- it a try. While reading the book, I was surprised to find
- that the story involved something called 'puterspace' which
- was basically a different name for what we know as 'the matrix'.
- The book's not completely cyberpunk, but its certainly closer
- to cyberpunk that it is to the original type of Dr Who stories.
-
- Just thought someone might want to know,
- SPHINX
