- There's alot of talk about the worst movie of all time. But I haven't
- seen anybody mention this one. This waste of film is certainly a dark
- horse in the running; but it's a shoe in for worst film adaptation of a
- book.
- Based on Jules Verns's novel, the movie stars Kirk Douglas & Yul
- Brenner. I consider it the poorest attempt to bring Verns work to the
- silver screen. Although Brenner is convincing as a pirate captain, I
- had a hard time accepting Douglas as the tormented lighthouse keeper.
- It's long and boring, and on video (if you really want to try it).
- Check it out if somebody's rented the last copy of the worst film you
- can think of.
