  22. O.K.  I was responding to the post I saw.  Enough said.  Others I
  23. have encountered do use the argument to champion the most
  24. arrent nonsense in the name of "pretension-busting."

  31. Well, if you read what I wrote, including the "pace" that I have
  32. deleted, you would realize that I didn't say the Barker interview was
  33. pretentious bullshit--only that I would sooner label it pretentious
  34. bullshit than I would the Seventh Seal.  As it happens, I am of the
  35. opinion that while Clive came off well, his interviewer did come off
  36. as an ass of the first water.
