- That was a TV-movie entitled "Trilogy Of Terror", originally shown on ABC
- on March 4, 1975. It was produced and directed by Dan Curtis. The film
- actually contains three separate stories, all starring Karen Black. In
- the final story, called "Amelia" and written by Richard Matheson, Black
- plays a mother-dominated woman who buys a fetish doll for a new boyfriend
- and discovers that the creature is alive - and ready to kill her. I
- remember it as being pretty terrifying when I first saw it, especially
- when the little guy grabs a knife and starts shoving it under the doors
- trying to cut her. The first two-thirds of the film are fairly
- pedestrian, and unmemorable, however.
