- I lived in the ICC for four years and spent three of those years on the
- board of
- directors. I must admit that my position on the board probably gave me a
- greater level
- of accessibility to the staff than most members, but I have little
- sympathy for most
- complaints that the "staff members are untouchables," because I know that
- most of them
- have never called a staff member, talked to a staff member, asked their
- house president
- about filing a grievance (during all my time in the ICC, not a single
- member-staff
- grievance was filed, tho the procedure existed).
