- Re: Censoring John DiNardo

- Hello -
-
- this is the first time I read alt.conspiracy and I am quite perplexed to read
- that someone has been shut down. Then I read the couple of infos which had been
- posted by John DiNardo - and I am even more perplexed.
-
- I work as a free-lance journalist and had been deep into conspiracy theory a
- couple of years ago. I did a weekly - hours long - radio-show. I interviewed a
- couple of people whom you might know - e.g. Daniel Sheehan (Christic Institute)
- Steve Rendall from FAIR, Dave Emory - and lots of others. I reviewed
- intelligence and conspiracy mags and taped radio shows from all over the world.
- Hmm ... - just for the record.
-
- So, my point is: today censorship in most countries operates by restriction of
- access, restriction of distribution. John Gregor makes this more than clear by
- saying:
-
- > No one is "forbidding you to speak the truth". All they're saying is that you
- > should go find your own machine to post it from.
-
- I see. Simply stupid. What does he expect to be censorship? A Russian soldier
- with a gun behind you? In contrast Henry Hardy pointed out:
-
- > We might first observe that the TCP/IP technology which ATT is privileged to
- > employ in speeding its
- > electronic messages around the world was developed by the United States
- > through its research and development
- > agencies. If the people of the United States have been generous enough to
- > share these resources with corporations
- > like ATT then I should think they should be grateful.
-
- I do not understand what a newsgroup called alt.conspiracy should be any good
- for if the only thing every conspiracy (and its theory) is all about -
- restriction of knowledge equals power - isn't countered in its core. So I
- happily join the tragic choir of David Veal and Brian Redman:
-
- > Support John DiNardo.
- >> Restore his access.
