  33.        (2) donations to the religious organizations themselves.

  35. Donations to the United Way are like case (1). I was really talking
  36. about case (2), to which the establishment clause of the First
  37. Amendment to the USA Constitution arguably applies.

  39. I *did* mean to "single out" religious organizations, and arguably so
  40. did the USA's "Founding Fathers".
