- What is the standard for underrepresentation? Should the proportion of Jews
- on bank boards equal their proportion of the population of New York City? Of
- the United States? Of the world? "New York City" seems the wrong answer,
- since these are institutions that draw their employees, shareholders and
- customers from all over. But any of the other answers suggests a rather low
- percentage of Jews.
