- As a matter of fact, I was once told that software development is an
- excellent career for a meditator. Apparently, certain kinds of
- software development, especially relational databases and artificial
- intelligence, train the mind in the same way as the detailed
- visualizations Tibetan monks perform. Also, developing software is one
- of those tasks which it is easy to lose oneself in, good for the be-
- here-now bit, and keeps the mind sharp.
-
- Sitting meditation and daily work are supposed to go hand in hand, one
- enhancing the other as a meditation.
-
- I can't back any of this up, I just throw it out for your
- consideration. :-).
