  14. PC is just another bit of facist politics invading another facet of our
  15. everyday lives - namley freedom expression.

  17. PC: Let's have everyone use the same exact vocabulary, that we the elitists
  18. have developed, so that noone is ever offended by the words we use in our
  19. various modes of communication.

  21. ME: i have nothing against being polite (though I do have something against
  22. this left shift key that isn't working), but i don't take kindly to being 
  23. told that i will have to express myself in a specific manner as outlined
  24. by some authority.  i received many an F in high school for writing my own
  25. way.

  27. No matter what terminology some group develops (i.e. terms like physically
  28. challenged, womyn, etc. ) society can twist it in such a way that it is 
  29. acceptable or derogatory.  Bitch is a female dog and a nigger is a stupid 
  30. person  and queer means 'odd' (by dictionary standards), but society has 
  31. turned them into insults and racial slurs.  Yes, we can develop pretty 
  32. titles, like physically challenged, which soften the truth, but sooner or
  33. later that will be derogatory, whether by connotation or voice inntonation.
  34. Why don't we just refer to people's disabilities and races by their latin
  35. roots - its a dead and neutral language - why not?  I'm just kidding about
  36. the latin. Its bogus and silly.  Rather than arguue over silly shit like
  37. PC, why don't we spend our time and resources helping the poor and homeless-
  38. or should i say 'the economically challenged'?
