  18. I can't help but think that it's gotten better since then, I hope that if
  19. you *do* have to go back for business, it'll be more pleasant. I'm sorry

  22. But Carlsbad (if it's the city that's just north of San Diego) is, from
  23. what I remember, a desert town that is very nice...  My parents live in San
  24. Diego, and we'd go to Carlsbad for Hadley's dried fruits.  San Diego is a
  25. lovely city, smaller, and with the whole of the beach community around the
  26. Bay, it is laid back, beautiful and quiet and probably just a little
  27. chillier (70's F, 21-26C) than your Australian summer.  A bit overcast on
  28. the coast in the winter/fall/rainy season.

  30. I'm going to get a taste of it, again, for the American Thanksgiving, from
  31. Nov. 25th - Nov. 29th.
