  29. English language, one ought to be damned sure one understands the language
  30. better than the person being critized does, points out, "Actually it IS. 
  31. Kitten almost certainly did NOT mean `dispensing' information.  Her use of the
  32. term "dispersing" was perfectly valid and appropriate. Heinlein was dispensing
  33. information when he wrote the book.  I suppose you might've thought `disbursing'
  34. would've been a more appropriate term, but I think not.  Dispersing it means
  35. spreading it around.  When you disperse a crowd, you're causing it do spread
  36. out.  Similarly with beaming something into space.  The odd thing about
  37. information, though (and one that makes the economics of information rather
  38. intractable, by he way) is that no matter how much you try to disperse it, the
  39. amount in your own vicinity doesn't decrease."
