  19. of my more immediate aims too.  When applying for jobs, publications are
  20. all important, as I've found out on numerous occassions.  All I've managed
  21. so far is a conference paper.  As for getting paid for it - hah! 
  22. Unfortunately, we aren't rewarded for our efforts in biology; sometimes we
  23. even have to pay for the priviledge!  Anyway ... good luck with the novel 
  24. :-)  and all your other literary works."
