- I think that the Canvas application would be a lot happier with a TIFF
- or PICT format. If you can generate a Unix TIFF file from your .DXF, you
- could ftp that to the Mac, and convert it to Mac format (with the
- approproate resource forks being added) by using Imagery 1.8 (available
- form sumex-aim.stanford.edu) on the Mac. Better yet, if you can generate
- a ppm file on your unix, Imagery will digest that even better (will then
- generate your choice of Mac TIFF or PICT2). Your probably better off
- using the PICT on the Mac, as a 1024X1024 image with 8 bit depth will
- take about 3 megs in TIFF, less than a quarter of a meg in PICT. Hope
