  25. What in Ghu's name were Watney's (known as "grotneys") in the UK and Bulmers
  26. doing at what seems otherwise to have been a damn' good fest?

  28. What you want is some DECENT British beer (NB: I'm not implying that all Brit
  29. Beer is automatically the best in the world and that 'cross the pond stuff is,
  30. well, pondwater), and as for cider, Woodpecker is mostly drunk by under-age
  31. kids who need at least as much of a sugar hit as they do of ethanol...

  33. Good to see Guinness with a presence, even if they did bring the execrable harp
  34. with them -- a true "Black and Tan" (Ask Ulick for the derivation ;-)) is made
  35. from stout and bitter, not stout an lager -- lager tends to be too thin.

  37. To change the subject, I ran into a couple of American Beer Hunters at a fest
  38. here in yorkshire a while ago. I think they may have been taking samples and
  39. copious notes to aid in stocking their bar (hopes: where they taking yeast
  40. samples? I can't remember).
