- Seeing how mega-brews like Bud and Coors are getting trashed (with good
- cause in my opinion), I would like to know what anyone thinks about Special
- Export and Old Style, G. Heilemann's big brews. Special Export has always
- been one of my favorite mass-produced beers, reminding me of some of the
- middle quality but still good European beers. Old Style is a cheap lager,
- but has a flavor to it that seems even a bit fruity. I actually think these
- two beers are pretty good by American standards, and even would choose
- Special Export over Sam Adams, which I think is overrated. BUT, everyone
- here seems to love Sam Adams, and I'm sure I'm probably in the minority.
- Still, keeping the recent discussions of different mass-beers, I wouldn't
- mind hearing other opinions.
