- Okay, here's something new . . .
-
- I've been experimenting with beers and lately I've been making a pretty
- good batch. Here's the recipe:
-
- 7 lbs. wheat malt
- Hops: Cascade -- alpha=7.6 beta=6.9
- Nugget -- alpha=14.1 beta=3.9
- Yeast: Steinbart's (local store brand) Ale yeast
-
- I boil the wheat malt with water and the Cascade hops, then add Nugget
- for steaping at the end, then pitch the yeast at the usual time.
-
- So far, this beer has been excellent. It's similar to a Winter Brew
- or to Portland Ale.
-
- Anybody else out there with some good recipes?
